LERSA ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING WITH CHAIRMAN ETI OSA EAST LCDA HON. JOHN CAMPUS OGUNDARE.
The
meeting started with the Chairman of Eti-Osa East LCDA (Hon. John
Campos Ogundare welcoming the LERSA Environmental Committee members and
the CEO of F.A.B.E. Foundation (Mrs. Temitope Okunnu)
The CEO of F.A.B.E Foundation gave her presentation and highlighting the importance of recycling.
In
her presentation, she elaborated on the benefits of recycling which
will also help reduce some major issues affecting the environment such
as Flooding and other health hazards.
The purpose of the meeting
was aimed at seeking approval from the council chairmen to set up
Recycling Hubs at Sangotedo and Ajah markets in order to achieve a
Cleaner, Safer, and Healthier Lekki Eti Osa East community.
The
Chairman of Eti-Osa East LCDA (Hon. John Campos Ogundare commended the
initiative and in support of the initiative, provided 2 hotspots to
mount the recycling hubs.
One at Sangotedo Market and the second at Ajah. Just before the bridge at the power transmission facility.
The
Chairperson for LERSA Environmental Committee (Lady E Lauretta Asemota)
commended the Chairman for his commitment towards a cleaner and
environmentally conscious Eti-Osa East local govt area.
The meeting ended with a form of commitment to implement the action points and concluded with group photographs.
